Apple iPhone 4S Expected To Sell Over 4 Million Opening Weekend

Apple fans around the country lined up to purchase the new Apple iPhone 4S on October 14 2011, and the phone has tons of new features that Apple fans are going to love. Even Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak lined up to get his iPhone 4S and to pay tribute to the last iPhone released before Steve Jobs death earlier this month. The iPhone 4S had 1 million pre-orders and is expected to sell over 4 million this weekend.

The iPhone 4S has a dual core chip which means it will be 2 times faster, has a better camera than the previous iPhone 4, but the biggest feature is the voice control called SIRI.

 

Apple Employee Loses iPhone 5 Prototype

Apple doesn't let it's secrets fall far from the tree but a top secret iPhone 5 prototype was recently lost by an Apple employee. The iPhone was left in a San Francisco bar and it is presumed that the person who found either sold it on eBay or Craigslist. Steve Jobs Steps Down As CEO Of Apple

I think we all knew this day was coming but no one wanted to admit it, the great Steve Jobs resigned as chief executive of Apple Inc on Wednesday Aug. 24,2011. Jobs who has been on medical leave for an undisclosed condition since Jan. 17, said he could "no longer meet" the duties and expectations of the job. Interim CEO Tim Cook was immediately elevated to CEO, while Jobs, 56, will stay on as chairman of the board.

Apple Becomes The World's Biggest Company

We have a new world's biggest company, and is it no surprise that it is Apple. The innovative tech company headed by Steve Jobs has been raking in profits and it's products can be found worldwide. Apple has surpassed Exxon Mobil as the largest company in the world with a market cap of a cool $341 Billion. Apple now has enough cash now to buy Bank of America and have about 6 or $7 Billion left over. It has also been noted that Apple has more cash than the U.S. government.

Apple To Release Two New iPhones

Apple is reportedly preparing for the release of not one but two new iPhones according to analysts from two different investment banks. The iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S are expected to be released together in September 2011. The iPhone 4S will reportedly have minor upgrades and cost $350, meanwhile the iPhone 5 is said to be the enhanced model with major system upgrades and will be more expensive. The double release could help Apple compete with the rival Android system.
